Heavyweight Dub & Reggae solidly begins with the heavy Dub foundation created by the legendary King Tubby in the 1970s where the control room, mixer and equipment become another instrument and a means to create fresh new sounds for the dance. Heavyweight Dub & Reggae takes this concept and brings into modern day Soundsystem culture; EDM, Electronic and almost any genre of music looking for add depth and weight to their overall sound!
At a massive 2.4GB, Heavyweight Dub and Reggae features Loops, One Hits, and Sampler Patches with a Dub-laden feel featuring Live Instruments, Drums, Keys, Vocals, FX and of course the all-important low end Bass frequencies! Over 400 Loops feature Live Drums washed in lush Dub Delay, a colourful spectrum of Keys including Pianos, Organs and Synths, Horn sections, Sax and Live Bass.
Every sample has an edge and weight that invokes a raw analog sound, heard in the early sounds of dub & reggae but modernised for today's music. Each sound goes through a long process of creation, selection and sonic shaping until a real sense of sound and uniqueness develop - sound by sound, FX by FX and edit by edit.
In excess of 140 One Shot samples are included with meticulous production applied throughout – with Bass, Drums, FX, Music and Vocals ready to be played and programmed in your music – as well as 45 sampler patches to choose from! All sounds have been played live, delivering natural swing and syncopation made possible by moving away from the block!
