CONNECTD Audio is proud to present ‘Chords, Pads & Awesome Stabs’, an outstanding oneshot collection comprising keys, synths, bass and melodics, and intended for use in House, Garage, Techno, R&B, Hip Hop and Downtempo productions.

These sounds have been captured from a mix of analogue and digital sources putting a full range of tones, scales and musical vibes at your fingertips. Many of the loops then underwent some further processing courtesy of an MPC, an SSL channel strip or a vintage E-Mu sampler. With the exception of the drums and fx, all of the melodic elements you hear in the demo were created using only the oneshots available in this product.

What’s Inside?

Oneshots > 100 lush, warm and inspirational chords, keys, stabs and basses taken from a range of synths and keyboards including the Juno 106, Roland’s JV-2080, Yamaha DX7 a Fender Rhodes and much more. Oozing with character and perfecting for building musical progressions or for getting that ripped-from-vinyl feel, without all of the sample clearance hassles. Labelled with comprehensive key information (minor, major, 7th, suspended, etc) for total ease of use.

Bonus Loops > We’ve bundled a choice selection of loops created entirely from the included oneshots. In addition we’ve included all of the melodic and bass content that you hear in the demo. 45 loops in total, key-labelled and presented in both wav and apple loop formats.

Sampler Patches & Kits > To ensure instant playability we’ve included 100 sampler patches which gives each of the 100 oneshots their own dedicated instrument for Kontakt, EXS24 and Reason’s NN-XT. For even more fun and creativity we’ve curated 6 custom kits for Maschine 2, Battery and Ableton as well as the previously mentioned sampler formats.

After a long time in the making, I'm pleased to present Dream State Vol.1 for the Virus TI.

Dream State Vol.1 is a new set of 64 sounds for any of the Virus TI synthesizers. The bank makes use of modwheel and soft-knob assignments for expressive patches. Sounds range from modern trance and dance music to cinematic and ambient explorations. While the Virus absolutely nails trance sounds, it's also exceptional when it comes to pads, delivering a deep and lush sound, almost cinematic in quality.

As a fun side note, I've been working on this bank since 2014, which makes this by far the longest I've ever worked on a single bank. I felt it was important to spend a lot of time getting to know the TI's sound engine to get the best from it. Some of these patches do actually go back to 2014, although they have been tweaked here and there since then.

Each patch is optimized to use as little DSP as necessary, letting you do more without bouncing to audio. Additionally all the sounds are programmed with category filters.

When Serum burst on to the scene Aiyn Zahev was quick to harness it’s power and demonstrate it’s versatility with Halcyon Vol.1. In the few years since, Serum has firmly secured itself as a studio staple. Though it’s widely known for growly dubstep basses and the like, Halcyon Vol.2 demonstrates the plasticity of this sound engine.

Sure, Halcyon 2 has it’s fair share of aggressive sounds, distorted and mangled by FM, but there’s also deep digital ambiences & silky pads, contrasted with powerful trance leads that only the best of modern virtual analogs can pull off and unusual but musical FX sounds.

This bank takes inspiration from gear both current and past. Wavetables & static waves have been a favourite ingredient in sun-deprived sound labs for decades. It’s an art, but it’s digital art, formed by small quantized increments here and there until it does what it’s supposed to do. This is why Serum stands out, it has all the precision needed to get those aforementioned silky digital pads and ambience sounds. On the flip side, Serum is a slick VA synth in it’s own right, with dense oscillator stacking and superior effects, that’s where all the rich leads and plucks come from. As for basses in Halcyon 2, Serum users know, a little FM and a bit of distortion go a long way.

New sounds are great, but sometimes artists need a little push to get going, to that end Halcyon Vol.2 includes all the MIDI heard in the audio demo, labeled in order of appearance for easy use. Oh and it’s all royalty free, so have at it.

Halcyon Vol.2 contains 114 sounds in all:
8 Ambience & 28 Pads
27 Basses & 25 leads
14 Plucks & 7 FX
and a handful of Chord and Sequenced patches

The MIDI is divided into 23 musical parts, with 54 MIDI files total.

We started by creating a collection of original royalty free compositions featuring a wide range of acoustic piano, organs, Rhodes, vintage and digital synths, toy keyboards and digital keys.

These audio captures were then meticulously processed using a multitude of high-end and lo-fi gear, tape and vinyl style saturation, bit crushing and foley layering. We were sure to leave it dripping in grunge, hiss, crackle and warp. The result is a characterful, emotive set including 100 melodic loops and 100 melodic one shots. Purpose built to inspire, act as song starters and ideal to twist and manipulate. Instant nostalgic vibes alongside ultra modern production techniques.
