Fresh off the back of the hotly received Dark Bass House Ableton Projects, Rankin Audio returns with the 2nd in a 3 part series with Dark Bass House Massive Presets. A collection of awesome patches that with pump fire into your DAW and turn your tracks into big bassy monsters.

Focussing predominately on bass patches, the pack offers only the very finest sounds that Native Instruments' super-synth has to offer. A collection that covers everything you will need to make the low end of your tracks dirty, heavy and seriously fat.

Taking influence from labels like Dirty Bird and Black Butter and producers like Cause and Effect, Hannah Wants and Low Steppa. This pack aims to arm you with the tools your need to get the dancefloor reaction you want.

Each sound comes with an extensive set of Macros so you can easily morph and shift the sound at the drop of a hat, giving you maximum usability from each patch. Hamsa Vol 2: Arabic Percussion from EarthMoments presents an exploration into the mystical world of Oriental percussion and grooves from distant corners of the Middle East, North Africa, and Arabic musical traditions.

Extolled for its rhythmic complexity and rich diversity, Middle Eastern percussive traditions feature a variety of hand drums that form the mainstay of the practice. Included in the bundle are the Dumbek, a classic 'goblet' shaped drum with a deeply resonant sound, the Darbuka which is also 'goblet' shaped, and said to be a modern variation of the Dumbek, and the Riq which is a frame drum with five sets of cymbals, usually skinned with goat or fish skin. A journey into the esoteric, these rare loops and samples will add an unmistakably other-worldly touch to any production.

The bundle offers producers a broad spectrum of hypnotic grooves and unusual rhythmic patterns to choose from, traversing a range of traditional styles. See what is included below.

Malfuf:

Originating in Egypt and Lebanon, this fast rhythm is often played as an intro for classical orchestral compositions, especially created for a belly dancer's entrance and exit.

Tsifteteli:

This hypnotic rhythm is often used for the sensuous movements of the belly dancer, such as undulations of the torso, floor work, or when the dancer moves with snake like arms.

Baladi:

An urban folk rhythmic style, a derivative of which is the Maqsoum rhythm, the most common rhythm in Arabic belly dance music.

Karachi:

Originating in Pakistan, this is a fast rhythm commonly found in modern Egyptian and North African music.

Gamble Kid is a virtual instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt, giving you the classic sound of a very famous Japanese 8-bit handheld console from 1989 (GB DMG-01).

The original GB sound chip features four sound channels: Square (CH1/CH2), Wave (CH3) and Noise (CH4). To enable MIDI support a self-built “Arduinoboy” MIDI interface was used in addition to the soft­ware mGB V1.3.3 running on the GB. To reduce audio noise the GB was modified with an addi­tional audio output bypassing the internal speaker (“Pro Sound Mod”). The audio was recorded using an A-Designs P-1 microphone preamp.

As with all of our sound designers, the creator of this pack - Seth Norman - comes with an enviable musical track record. As one part of legendary Portland based production trio Triage, Seth has released on Rottun records remixing Excision and Datsik as well as collaborating with SPL on Hollowpoint Records, the same label that released the incredibly big Triage debut album 'Rage'. His talents have also been utilised in the video game and film industry having provided his considerable sound design and engineering skills for games on WiiU and for the likes of EA games to name but two.
