Chordscape is an ambient infinite tape playback machine designed to create evolving modulated dark ambient soundscapes.

Chordscape contains 8GB of sound designed content derived from acoustic instruments, natural recordings, sound design, outboard effects and synthesizers. Each sound has been carefully created from scratch to fit the engine and philosophy of the library by our good friend Erick McNerney

There are 4 sound sources, an inbuilt browser system, 4 dedicated sequencers and multiple assignable effects

The unique feature of Chordscape is that it is designed to emulate a tape machine in that you simply press play (rather than playing notes) and then create the movement by modulating and automating parameters as it plays. This gives incredibly unique evolving sounds that never stop!

13 SOUND CATEGORIES

With 4 sounds sources, each with 13 sound categories you could get lost in Chordsape for days. All sounds are accessible using the pop-up browser system and mixer settings are retained per sound.

EVOLVING MODULATION

Chordscape allows nearly every single control to be modulated over time.

With a dedicated pop-up modulation system with between 4 and 128 steps per conrol it is possible to create pulses, stepped sequences or long smooth progressions and adjust the speed individually for every control.

If you don't know how to use snapshots in Kontakt then you don't know what you are missing. They load quicker, can be organised better and shared easier than using a bunch of nkis.

Chordscape ships with over 200 in 5 different categories to get you started.

Fed up of having to re-use the same vocals everyone else has canned over the years? There's always a point in making your track when you want to add in something to make your tune stand out and take it to the next level, or perhaps you want to build a full vocal based song from the ground up, not just have a repeated vocal loop all the way through? Here we have 8 awesome full original songs written and recorded at the Monster Sounds studio by 2 talented songwriter / vocalists / topline writers. Both vocalists have loads of real studio time notched up between them having worked with many an experienced producer on some successful projects.

To add more credentials to this pack the producers at Monster Sounds produced and engineered many vocal sessions from underground to commercial singers and rappers, including some gold selling artists.

There is a multitude of different song ideas and subjects to give credible vocals with maximum flexibility for producers in all different genres. There are 4 female vocals and 4 male vocals in this pack. All vocals are suited to electronic music production, but also could be equally flipped into a more acoustic or traditional instrument based track.

The pack is made up of 8 Full song ideas, compromising verse. chorus and in some cases the bridge parts of a song. Extra harmony parts have been added so it is possible to build more progressive layers. In some songs there are alternative takes sung in a different style for more options.

This is to give the full flexibility of either grabbing a simple one line hook to loop, or to have the tools to construct a full song with a traditional verse-chorus arrangement. The vocals have also been double tracked (in many cases multi-tracked) so you can get that huge stacked sound in the chorus of your song.

The vocals can easily be time stretched and pitch shifted of needed to suit different tracks. The parts are laid out to make them as user friendly as possible, and have been split up in the following ways: All songs are bounced as a full accapella version, laid out in verse-chorus type arrangement and also a wet effected version.

The parts have also been supplied as totally dry individual stems, so you have total control over your vocals. All the individual stems that make the double tracks and harmonies are there for you to tweak your mix exactly how you want.

Finally there are song Sections. For example the chorus, verse, and bridge parts of the vocal, stacked as a fully double tracked chunk so you can rearrange the sections however you want to. The reason for this is that in the full accapellas there may be overlaps that would make any editing difficult so these Sections give you the flexibility. These are bounced also in dry and wet versions.

Also as a bonus there's a few choice adlibs from the song writing sessions thrown in which may prove useful as song ideas or just for looping up.

The vocals were recorded using a 1980s Numann u87 mic with a Focusrite ISA430 channel strip.

Auddict is happy to bring you the tubas section from our Master Brass orchestral brass sample library. Like its MB counterparts, the Master Brass tubas also come with a staggering seven mic positions for absolute sonic control and sculpt-ability.

Mix between the perspectives; Decca tree sides and mid, flanks, room, woodwind spots (see more about this below!), close ribbons and close LDCs, with the flexibility aimed at replicating a real scoring session. Now you have control over the different mic and perspective levels in the session, enabling you to morph your own sound in your scores, as if you were at the studio with the console at your fingertips.

You might have noticed that one of the perspectives included is "woodwind spots". While this is not a woodwind library, the mics that spot the woodwinds were set up and included in the recording. The reason for this, is that a lot of the brass sound bleeds heavily into the woodwind mics in scoring sessions, adding to the perceived depth of the sound, so whilst pushing to achieve the most versatile, we felt that this absolutely had to be included.

The instrument comes with true sampled legato, allowing for realistic and seamless transition from one note to the next.

Like the rest of the Master Brass, we have recorded major and minor chords in various positions, as well as open fifths (combined gives you the ability to also create MAJ7, min7 and other chords... again for the reason that each note has it's own little space in the sonic field, and it is this separation that is one of the major things we miss from a real recording, and a track with layer upon layer of samples. With this instrument, you can achieve that real spacious sound.

This instrument requires the FULL VERSION of Kontakt 4, or above (so it will also run in Kontakt 5 perfectly)
