Neo Soul delivers the smooth, down-tempo, grooves and beats that cross-over between soul and R&B but adds a contemporary feel with some subtle electronic elements that, if desired, can deliver a modern take on the genre. Convenient And Flexible Construction Kit Format

With 3.5 GB of sample content, the 650+ loops and samples are organized into 10 full construction kits. Original tempos range from 60 to 82 BPM but, thanks to the powerful Elastik audio engine, you can tempo-match the sample content to exactly fit your project. The loops have a length of 8 bars and up to 32 seconds.

Each construction kit contains three distinct musical parts as well as a collection of single sounds for additional flexibility and customization. Pre-mixed stereo drum loops are included alongside individual loops for kick, snare, hats, ride and other kit elements allowing you complete control over the mix of the groove.

Musical elements include both electronic and acoustic drums and percussion as well as drum FX. Synth bass, acoustic bass, electric bass, various synths, pads, organs, processed guitars, electric pianos, Rhodes piano, sound effects and vinyl sounds are included amongst the instruments used. How it works

Patter generates MIDI a few notes at a time, in “segments”. A segment is made up of one or more notes and rests of equal duration. You control the number and duration of the segments, and with each rhythmic parameter, you can create different amounts of randomization and variation.

Once you’ve created your rhythm, you can add dynamics by tweaking accent parameters and use the pitch control to introduce levels of note randomisation. Then, to narrow down the options, you can select notes spanning three octaves. You can use your MIDI keyboard to input notes on the fly and create a truly unpredictable yet responsive music generator.

Polyphylla is a new Max For Live instrument that makes additive synthesis accessible and fun. Aimed at electronic music producers as well as experimental composers, music educators and production novices, you’ll master it in minutes but make amazing sounds with it for years to come.

Boiling a complex under-the-hood architecture down to a concise set of around 50 editable parameters, organised in a clean, clear interface, Polyphylla prioritises approachability and ease of use, without sacrificing depth or quality of results.

At the heart of the synth is a flexible 120-partial additive oscillator coupled to an analogue-style noise generator, each with its own multimode filter. The oscillator offers three methods by which to generate and edit a base harmonic spectrum: simple analogue waveform emulation, knob-driven stochastic microtuning, and detailed graphical control of 32 partial groups. The noise generator, meanwhile, can be overdriven for extra grit.

Harmonic movement and dynamics are introduced to the signal using a powerful arsenal of fractal-inspired Motion processors. Level modulation of all partials together over time is drawn into the Motif Editor, while the Sweep, Attractor, Deform and Drift effects warp, bend and generally reshape them collectively and individually. Immediately informative real-time visual feedback on the partials and their playback is provided by the 2D Spectrum and 3D Motion Views.

Further animation is dialled in via an array of modulation sources, including two envelopes, two LFOs, velocity and aftertouch, visibly assignable to most of Polyphylla’s parameters. Harmonizer, ring modulation, chorus and reverb effects are also on hand for polishing and mangling the final sound.

The BLENDSTRUMENT is designed around the ability to randomize everything and create completely new sounds and instrument that no mortal soul has ever heard. This includes the ability to RANDOMIZE everything, including samples, sample parameters, global effects, anything that could possible be randomized. All it takes is a single click and you have created an entire, never heard before, universe of sounds.

Pulse Architecture
The BLENDSTRUMENT is designed to be a rhythmic, pulsing instrument that adapts to your DAW Host-Tempo. We designed in such a way that you can PULSE between two different pods, which each contains a fully loaded Blendstrument. The PULSE architecture allows you control all crucial elements in the pulsing, including MIX, PAN and SPEED of the PULSE. If that is not enough – try combining it with our advanced GATE function too.

Textural Convolutions
Textural Convolutions is a new way of using convolution to create textural delays. The idea is to use non-conventional convolution impulses to augment the existing sound. So when the instrument delays – you will not just get a normal delay of the instrument, but also get the delay and texture of the convolution. This concept is called Textural Convolutions and we hand-crafted over 300 new impulses for the Blendstrument. The Textural Convolutions can also be randomized.

Reversed Blendstrument
We also created the entire Blendstrument in REVERSE. Every single sample now plays backwards – creating an entirely new take on the Blendstrument. This is great for creating more underscore type of beds and works fantastic with regular Blendstrument too. A great trick is to load two instances of Blendstrument. One regular and one reversed. Assign them to same midi-channel and active one POD in each. You now have both forward and reversed at the same time.

Chaos Effects 3.3
The Blendstrument contains a massive global FX section and RANDOMIZATION system, but we also added our latest 3.3 FX Chaos Engine on top. This feature is recommended for power-users that want to shape their Blendstrumentation even further, including Filter, Step-Based Filter, EQ, Bit-Crusher, Distortion, Dual Stereo-Delay and two additional convolution systems on top of our custom Textural Convolutions.

Panorama
One of the most unique features of the Blendstrument is the fact that each sample comes in 5 completely different variations. You can control each of these variations independently, so essentially have 5 variations of the same sample behave, pan and pitch completely on their own. We call this feature PANORAMA. The PANORAMA creates highly advanced poly-rhythmic and poly-panoramic (new word!) feel to the Blendstrument.

Concert Flute

Concert Flute, as with other titles in the Elastik Instrument Series, brings you a collection of exquisite solo instrumental performances. This library is build around a collection of phrases played on a western concert flute in C, beautifully played and beautifully recorded. The library contains some 800 MB of sample content spread across nearly 1000 individual musical phrases.

Captures the intimate Sound of the Concert Flute

The licks are pre-organised into groups based upon performance style with low register legato, high register legato, staccato and ‘trill’ based groups included. Original recording tempos span 70 to 130bpm and are indicated for each phrase. Elastik’s high-quality time-stretching algorithms do, of course, allow you to adjust tempo with great flexibility. Sets of phrases are presented with matching tempos and feels, making it easy to construct longer melodic passages or complete solo performances.

Beautifully Recorded

The recordings are presented dry with no EQ or compression applied so that you can apply your own choice of processing. The intimate, breathy sound of the instrument is captured to perfection and the style of playing, while working within a more formal orchestral setting, is also ideally suited to pop, jazz, soul, latin or house productions. Used in the right musical context, you can also capture the retro feel of 1960s pop.

Timeless Melodic Performances

Concert Flute is ideal for busy music and media producers requiring the authentic sound of the flute for their latest music cue and will add a touch of class to any music production.

Elastik Features

In addition, the Elastik player allows adapting the flute licks to your current song project in speed and pitch. Ueberschalls Elastik-Player is the perfect tool for loop-based music production. The intuitive browser manages all Elastik libraries for immediate access to all loops. This way, not only loops of Concert Flute but of all installed Elastik libraries can be combined freely.

Note: The instrumental backings used in the audio demo are not part of the library. They simply demonstrate possible applications of the library‘s licks. This library only includes concert flute loops.
